Full Moon Lunar Eclipse In Scorpio

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse In Scorpio

Most people in North America recognize May 5th as, Cinco de Mayo, a day to get drunk at Mexican bars and eat tacos. However, the history and numerology behind this day, along with the fact that it’s a lunar eclipse makes today about so much more.

In Divine Mathematics we recognize repeating numbers in dates as portal days. For instance, 8/8 is Lions Gate. The cosmic energy on these days vibrate higher than usual. This energy enables us to deal more with ourselves as well as with our environment. The effects of the energy show up differently for each person. Some common themes are:

  • Being highly emotional: either you feel very light or very heavy

  • Experiencing Inner turmoil, thoughts and emotional chaos

  • You, but also your loved ones react more quickly irritated

  • Headaches, fatigue and migraines complicate daily routine

  • Restlessness

  • Creativity and solutions bubble out of you on such days.

  • You feel that you have more energy than usual

  • Your empathy is once again sharpened and focused

  • You realize more quickly what you need for yourself.

Well today is 5/5 and in numerology 5 represents change. Change, though it can be scary, is the only recognition of growth. It’s also a full moon lunar eclipse in the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is the zodiac sign that deals with death and transformation. Full Moons come to bring about celebration and the release of things that no longer are serving you, and Eclipses double down on that energy. So yeah today is very intense. Expect a heavy purge but a purge for the greater good of your expansion.

You, or others around you, may have trouble sleeping tonight. Things could feel heightened or even extreme - it’s a time of expansion and greatly magnified perception. Right now, you’re able to see the full growth of your intentions - the seeds that you planted at the Aries New Moon and Solar Eclipse two weeks ago.

During this time, known as the eclipse portal, you may have felt as if you were in overdrive. Perhaps you initiated some major changes in your life, and your mind, body, and emotions could still be catching up. It could even seem like the world is moving too fast, and things are wild and out of control.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, or out of it, know that the intention is to get you to slow down and face the truth. This is a transformative time - a moment for endings and beginnings. It’s possible that you have now realized that something in your life - a mindset, a coping mechanism, a relationship - is no longer working and you must let it go

The intention of this cycle is to reveal anything that might be holding you back so that you can complete the massive leap forward that you initiated two weeks ago. You are being reminded how powerful you are, and that fear is an illusion.

It is important that we study the history of the day so that we can recognize the mathematical patterns of what we’re collectively experiencing. Similar to your Facebook posts that show you cyclical events in your life that may mirror what you’re currently doing on the same day last year or even 4 years ago.

Math is based in truth which means it’s consistent with fact. 5/5 is a day some Mexican’s commemorate “The Battle Of Puebla” where Mexican Soldiers were victorious against what was at that time viewed as the greatest military force in the world; France. The anniversary of the Battle of Puebla was declared a national holiday referred to as “Battle of Puebla Day” or “Battle of Cinco de Mayo” by President Benito Juárez on May 9, 1862. However, it's no longer considered a national holiday in Mexico.

5/5 is also recognized as a national holiday In Ethiopia called Patriots' Victory Day. This holiday commemorates the end of the Italian occupation of Ethiopia which occurred on this day in 1941. When the second world war began, the Ethiopian resistance, the Arbegnoch (literally, "patriots"), with the support of the British were able to restore sovereignty during the East African Campaign. Italian control ended when Emperor Haile Selassie entered Addis Ababa on May 5th  (Miaza 27 in the Ethiopian calendar) 1941 and addressed the citizens, saying: "Today is the day on which we defeated our enemy. Therefore, when we say let us rejoice with our hearts, let not our rejoicing be in any other way but in the spirit of Christ. Do not return evil for evil. Do not indulge in the atrocities which the enemy has been practising in his usual way, even to the last.”

Today is a collective day of war that brings about peace. For our ancestors, eclipses were in most cases a chaotic period. Several historical events coincided with solar or lunar eclipses: battles, crowning or dethroning of emperors, peace treaties and so forth. Solar and lunar eclipses were usually regarded as a disturbance in the natural order of the sky, an indication to some of divine anger.

In Egyptian mythology one story of the eclipse of the moon is when the god of chaos, Seth, stole the Moon Eye of Horus, god of the sky.  Thoth, god of learning and mathematics, searched in the darkness and restored it to its place in the heavens.
